First day I saw my classroomI

On Wednesday, June 8, 2011, I was offered a position to teach kindergarten. That Friday, I went in to see my classroom so I could start getting ideas in mind. These were a few pictures I quickly took just to help me remember. I guess Ill share my journey with yall.

First Year Teacher

So last April, I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. All I could think about was finding my dream job as a kindergarten teacher. It was a stressful 2 months after graduation until I had secured a job teaching kindergarten at Woods Cross Elementary. I was ecstatic! In fact, when my principal offered me the job on the phone, I never even said yes. He finally asked me, "So I'm assuming that you are saying yes?" I couldnt believe my ears. I had gotten my dream job!
Immediately, all I could do was look for ideas to decorate my classroom. I found this amazing website and decided I wanted to do a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Room. Anytime I hear something that I could relate to my theme, I wrote it down or came up with something. It was way fun! So hopefully, you will see my theme throughout this year in different aspects of my kindergarten room!
